A useful estimate starts with honest inputs.

The default appliance values are starting points, not measurements of your home. LED light use editable planning assumptions. All devices use the AC inverter for the entire selected window; there is no solar charging in this model.

A few questions worth answering.

Do I need to know my appliances’ watts?

No. Start with categories and the labeled estimates. For a closer result, enter measured consumption or annual kWh from the appliance’s energy label in the optional settings.

Why is the range wide when I add a refrigerator?

Refrigerators cycle on and off. Model, temperature, door openings and defrost cycles change their energy use. A category estimate is intentionally broad. Your energy label or a representative plug-meter measurement can narrow it, but does not establish motor startup requirements.

Does enough battery capacity mean it will run my appliance?

No. Watt-hours describe stored energy. The station also needs enough running output, suitable motor-start capability, the correct voltage and compatible outlets. We keep these checks separate.

Can I use this for solar charging or whole-house backup?

This version estimates directly connected AC appliances without charging during use. It does not design solar arrays, home wiring, transfer switches or medical-device backup.
